THE JOURNEY HOME:

It was Saturday, April 27, 2019. I was hanging out with my brothers and sisters, and 2 other litters of puppies at my breeders home in Boise, Idaho.

I was running and playing around then suddenly someone picked me up and handed me to a lady. I had never met her before, but she had long blonde hair, the biggest smile I have ever seen on a human and let out a high pitched squeal the moment she saw me. I was told this was my mom.

We spent the afternoon playing in the grass with my siblings which was fun. I got a bath too, which was NOT fun! Then mom said it was time to go. “Go where?”, I thought.

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE:

We arrived at the airport and I gotta admit, I was the cutest thing there. Everyone wanted to pet me; from the Alaska Airlines ticket agents, the TSA at security and the flight attendants. Mom and I played in the bathroom quite a bit on my potty pad just in case I had an accident until it was time for us to board.

Unfortunately I was not allowed to sit on moms lap and had to be stowed under the seat in my crate. Im precious cargo, not a carry on! I let EVERYONE on the plane know that I was not happy by letting out the loudest whimpers I could muster. And I continued to let everyone know how unhappy I was for the ENTIRE plane ride to Portland, Oregon!

Mom was so nervous! She was sweating ended up spilling my entire bag of food all over herself and the floor and had her hand firmly placed in my crate for the entire flight home to try and comfort me.

I betcha mom won’t try to fly with me again. :-)

MEETING THE FAMILY:

When we landed at PDX, drove across the bridge into Vancouver, Washington.

We arrived home late but had a welcoming committee waiting for me when I got there. I got to meet my new dad, my human brother and sister and my big fur brother Benny. He was not happy that I was there and he let me know it.

I was nervous and excited and curious and of course pretty dang adorable. My pawrents tried to have me sleep in my kennel but I let them know my happy place was nestled up between the two of them in their bed.

Yeah, I think I had them wrapped around my paw the minute they saw me.
